Wayne State University’s Emily Gordon, a senior from Northville, Michigan, participated in the 800m run preliminaries at the NCAA Division 2 Indoor Track and Field national championships. The event took place on Friday afternoon in Indianapolis.

Gordon completed the race with a time of 2:14.56, securing the 16th position. To qualify for Saturday’s finals, she needed to finish within the top nine, which required a time of 2:08.56. Additionally, achieving All-America recognition necessitated a time of 2:09.62.

Looking ahead, Wayne State will shift its focus to the outdoor season starting March 21-22 at the Indiana Wesleyan Polar Bear Classic.
