On Sunday, April 6, former Belleville High School standout Payton Whitehead’s current college team, the Maine Black Bears, won 3-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the UMass Lowell Riverhawks.
The game took place at Mahaney Diamond. This was their third matchup against the Riverhawks this season.
The Black Bears’ next game is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9 at 4 p.m. at Mahaney Diamond against Merrimack Warriors.
Four Wayne State men’s tennis athletes have been named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for their achievements on court and academically during the past season. The honorees include Luis Klaus, Benjamin Hill, George Day, and Tom Wasner.
