Plymouth-Canton Community Schools issued the following announcement.
P-CCS partner Community Financial helped Liberty Middle School students in Mrs. Ramirez’s Life Management classes learn the importance of good financial decisions recently
through the virtual "Mad City Money" event.
Mad City Money is a reality simulation designed to engage students in making money-smart adult choices. The simulation explores the concepts of wages, debt, loan payments,
and the importance of building a monthly budget within an individual's means.
The simulation is another in a series of services Community Financial offers through its long-time partnership with P-CCS. During in-person instruction, Community Financial offers
student-run credit union branches in P-CCS schools to help students form the important habits of saving money and spending it wisely. CFCU has also partnered with Educational
Excellence Foundation programs to fund classroom grants, and offers scholarships to area students.
