Town of Canton recently issued the following announcement.
In an ongoing effort to address recent staffing challenges for attracting new hires, as well as retaining current part-time employees, the Canton Board of Trustees approved a $2.50 hourly wage incentive on July 13, 2021, that is currently in effect through December 31, 2021.
A variety of part-time positions are eligible for this hourly wage incentive to help address the local market’s recent hiring challenges.
This initiative was undertaken to encourage new hires to become township staff, as well as help retain Canton’s dedicated current workforce. At this time the township is hiring a variety of part-time and seasonal positions.
