Northville Public Schools issued the following announcement on Aug 2.
Community Financial Credit Union turns 70 this year, and to celebrate they are donating $70,000 to nonprofit, educational and community organizations throughout Michigan.
Hillside Middle School’s Mrs. Lawson was recently selected as a recipient of $1,000 for the Care Packages for the Troops project where students collect Halloween candy, Girl Scout Cookies, toiletries, socks, baby wipes and other necessities for the troops stationed overseas.
The $1000 will pay for the shipping of the boxes and will assist in keeping the tradition going.
