Plymouth-Canton Community Schools issued the following announcement on Sept 2.
The P-CEP Advanced Placement coordinators have released the following information about the College Board's 2021-22 AP Exams:
Advanced Placement (AP) Exams are offered to students after completing college level course work in an AP class taken at PCEP. Although not required, most students who are enrolled in an AP course choose to take the AP exam. Students who are not enrolled in an AP course also have the opportunity to take an exam as a self study student.
2022 AP exams will be administered from May 2-May 13, 2022. These will be full length, traditional AP exams administered in person. There are currently no plans for any type of the online exams seen over the past 2 years due to Covid-19.
The College Board requires AP exam registration to occur this fall and they have reinstated the $40 cancellation fee if a student chooses to cancel after the fall deadline order of November 1st, 2021.
Enrolling and registering for an AP Exam is a two step process and must be completed in this order:
**Please note: It is VERY important that the spelling of your name and your email are the same for both sites**
If you had an account last year you will receive an email with your info.
- Students must FIRST register and pay for all exams in Total Registration
- You MUST register with your assigned home school and NOT the school in which your AP class is located!
- Students must enroll for the course in College Board
- Use the JOIN CODE you received from Total Registration
Begins September 1st at 12:01am
Ends November 1st at 11:59pm (with the exception of AP Macroeconomics which is a 2nd semester course; students can wait until 2nd semester begins to register for AP Macro)
Late Registration Dates
Begins November 2nd at 12:01am
Ends March 1st at 11:59pm (Final deadline for registration for AP Macroeconomics)
Normal Registration Fee - $110 per exam
*This rate is for students who registered and paid during the normal registration window of September 1st - November 1st!
Late Registration Fee - $40 per exam
*There will be an additional $40 late fee (fee determined by CollegeBoard) on top of the original $110 for all students who register or have not paid for their exams between November 2, 2021 - March 4, 2022.. Any unpaid exams will be automatically cancelled if not paid for by March 5, 2022!
Fee Reduction for Eligible Students - $40
*Students who participate in the free/reduced lunch program have an exam fee of $40 per exam. Students are still subject to the additional $40 late fee if registered between November 2, 2021 - March 4, 2022.
