City of Westland issued the following announcement on Sept 9.
Westland is announcing a Citywide Garage Sale! Sept 25 - 26th, any resident can have a yard / garage sale with the normal sale fees waived and the City is providing a free interactive map that will help get the word out that you are having a sale.

In an effort to provide residents an opportunity to rid themselves of unwanted items and to make a little extra money at the same time, the City of Westland is announcing a Citywide Garage Sale event! During the weekend of the event, any resident can have a yard / garage sale with the normal sale fees waived and the City is providing a free interactive map that will help get the word out to everyone that you are having a sale.
