City of Northville issued the following announcement on Oct 20.
Weeks to go before leaf pick-up begins. Don’t start early!
Leaf pick up is the week of Nov. 1 for homes north of 8 Mile, and the week of Nov. 8 for homes south of 8 Mile. Please do not rake leaves into the street prior to the Sunday before the week of your collection. During heavy rain, leaves on the street can cover the storm drains and lead to street flooding.
