Plymouth-Canton Community Schools issued the following announcement on Nov 16.
The spirit of giving is alive and well during this holiday season thanks to the Farrand Elementary PTO's partnership with the Plymouth Community United Way to help support P-CCS families in need!
The school's essential goods collection drive, which is now in its second year, was the brainchild of 2020 PTO board members who wanted to help families in the school community who were facing hardships during the first waves of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The 2020 drive filled United Way vehicles with donations. Since this year's drive began on November 8th, P-CUW volunteers have already made one pickup run to the school after the generosity of Farrand families filled the school's collection point. All donations will stay local and be distributed by United Way officials to P-CCS families in need.
