Northville Public Schools issued the following announcement on Feb 9.
Northville Public Schools has two teams that are finalists in the Federal Aviation Administration Airport Design Challenge. The Airport Design Challenge is an eight-week interactive, learning and collaboration opportunity sponsored by the FAA where participants worked with FAA mentors to design model airports in Microsoft Minecraft.
The FAA Airport Design Challenge has grown in each of the past few years, with over 2,800 students from 18 countries signing up to participate in 2021-22. Students signed up from all 50 states; Washington, DC; Puerto Rico; and the Virgin Islands. Nearly 200 video entries were submitted via YouTube.
