Wayne County issued the following announcement on April 1.
Compost pick up WILL begin on April 1st!
Republic Services is reminding residents in the City of Wayne that yard waste collection service will commence April 1, 2022. Yard waste will be collected on your regular collection day. Republic is reminding our residents that yard waste my be placed in kraft style paper bags or in a personal container clearly marked compost or yard waste. Containers and/or bags may not exceed 50 lbs. in weight or 35-gallons in size.
When placing yard waste curbside, please ensure that it is separate from your solid waste cart and other objects that may interfere with Republic’s collection service.
All materials intended for collection service must be placed curbside prior to 7 am of your collection day to ensure collection.
