Mass Shooting Arrest
Officers arrested the suspect in the mass shooting on Saratoga with assistance from an Intelligence Specialist (IS) in our Crime Intelligence Unit.
Here’s how this great collaborative effort was done:
An initial response and investigation
IS does License Plate Reader (LPR) search
LPR identifies possible suspect vehicle
Suspect information sent to investigators
Suspect arrested and gun recovered
The suspect, a male from Macomb County, is currently in custody awaiting charges. Great work from our IS for identifying the suspect and all others involved in taking him into custody! #OneDetroit
