Our investigation led to the shut down of an illegal business in our DPD 5th Precinct after four people were shot within a 12-hour span on Saturday.
Our partners at the Buildings, Safety Engineering and Environmental Department shut down The Black Door after the two separate shooting incidents. We alerted BSEED of the shootings, they learned the business was zoned for retail, not as an event hall.
Chief White has made it a priority to investigate businesses when a crime occurs, so if it's operating illegally it will be shut down for the safety of residents and the community. #OneDetroit
