Police Officer Adeed Fayaz, a five-year veteran of the New York City Police Department, was shot while off-duty on Feb. 6 in an attempted robbery and died from his injuries Feb. 7.
“On behalf of the Detroit Police Department, we offer our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Ofc. Fayaz and the New York City Police Department," Chief James E. White said. "We are mourning and praying with you. Our hearts are with the entire New York City community.”
