It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of Lt. Fred Bowens, who served with the Detroit Police Department for a little over three decades. Lt. Bowens had many assignments throughout his career with DPD, including serving within our tactical mobile unit, Northeastern District, 11th and 12th precincts, and the Detroit Detention Center, where he was until his passing.
Our hearts and sincere condolences are with Lt. Bowens' family and friends during this difficult time.
