The City of Detroit is looking for vendors to provide structured and supervised enrichment opportunities for youth during the summer months. The Recreation Department of the city aims to offer free childcare and enrichment programming to approximately 1,500 young individuals across Detroit.

The Office of Contracting and Procurement, on behalf of the General Service Department and Parks and Recreation, has initiated the search for vendors who can provide all-day programming at non-City partner locations. These programs will cater to up to 50 youth per camp location, running from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm every Monday through Friday, starting from June 24, 2024, and concluding on August 16, 2024. The campers will be between the ages of 6 and 12, and the camp programming should be divided into groups based on age.

Interested vendors are advised to submit their questions regarding the proposal by January 12, 2024, before 3:00 pm EST. The deadline for submitting the proposals is January 29, 2024, at 3:00 pm EST.

To provide further clarification and address any concerns, a pre-bid meeting will be held on January 10, 2024, at 2:00 pm EST. The meeting will take place on Microsoft Teams, and participants can join using the provided Meeting ID and Passcode.

In order to assist potential vendors in preparing their bids, the City of Detroit has also provided a document and video on how to respond to bids. These resources will guide vendors through the bidding process and ensure that their proposals meet the necessary criteria.

The City of Detroit recognizes the importance of providing meaningful and enriching activities for the youth in the community. By partnering with vendors, the city aims to offer a wide range of educational and recreational opportunities that will positively contribute to the development of Detroit's young population.

As the Recreation Summer Youth Development Organization (184260) seeks vendors to provide summer enrichment opportunities for Detroit youth, this initiative will undoubtedly contribute to the overall growth and well-being of the city's younger generation.
