Public invited to the next Detroit Local Emergency Planning Committee Meeting on February 13

The Detroit Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) has extended an invitation to the public to attend their next meeting on February 13th. The meeting will take place at 12:30 p.m. at Detroit Homeland Security & Emergency Management, located at 13331 Lyndon.

Residents have the option to attend the meeting in person or virtually. To confirm their participation in person or receive a link to attend virtually, individuals are encouraged to call and leave a message at 313-400-3331.

The Detroit LEPC is a public-private partnership dedicated to promoting transparency and raising awareness about hazardous materials in the community. One of its primary objectives is to ensure that residents have access to information regarding hazardous materials reporting.

During the upcoming meeting, attendees can expect brief reports on any existing emissions issues. Additionally, the meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to voice their opinions and concerns.

In order to make attendees feel welcomed, refreshments will be provided.
