Detroit's Buildings, Safety Engineering, and Environmental Special Land Use Hearings on April 10th, 2024, featured discussions on various proposed land use cases within the city.

One of the cases presented during the hearings involved the proposal to "Resurface an existing school Parking Lot and re-establish 121 accessory parking spaces located within R1 (Single-Family Residential) and R3 (Low Density Residential) Zoning Districts."

Another case under consideration was the plan to "Establish a Cabaret (Group C, Alcohol Consumption on Premises with Live Entertainment) in an existing 3,930 square foot building in an M4 (Intensive Industrial) Zoning District."

Furthermore, the hearings also addressed a proposal to "Establish a Body Art Facility (“Tattoo Shop”) in a 1,124 square foot unit of an existing 38,326 square foot building in a B4 (General Business) Zoning District."
