The City of Livonia Calendar Year 2023 Water Quality Report has revealed that Livonia’s drinking water continues to meet or exceed all government standards set for water quality and safety.

"This report was developed to bring you important information about your drinking water in compliance with Federal requirements of the Safe Drinking Water Act," stated the report.

Highlighting the importance of knowledge about water quality, the document emphasized, "Knowledge is power, and this document was designed to bring you the knowledge you need about the water you drink every day. You will learn about the quality of your water, the source of your drinking water, how we manage risks to our water supply, and the water treatment process."

The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy, formerly known as the Department of Environmental Quality, was acknowledged as the entity responsible for overseeing the operation of municipal water systems.

Additionally, it was noted that Livonia employees are dedicated to ensuring the delivery of safe and high-quality water to all customers in collaboration with the Great Lakes Water Authority.

Livonia residents can access the full Water Quality Report to gain a comprehensive understanding of the city's water quality and safety measures.
