Wayne State University athletes earn six GLIAC All-Academic honors

Six members of the 2023-24 Wayne State University men's basketball program have been recognized with GLIAC All-Academic honors. This marks the highest number of honorees in the past seven years.

The criteria for selection require that student-athletes be active members on the roster at the end of the season and not be freshmen or first-year transfer students.

All-Academic Excellence Team Selections:

- Chris Mutebi, So., Farmington Hills, Mich./Univ. of Detroit Jesuit, Public Health, 3.52 (first-year eligible)

- Justin Ross, Jr., Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington, Exercise & Sport Science, 3.54 (second consecutive year on Excellence Team)

All-Academic Team Selections:

- Justice Gordon, So., Brampton, Ont./Halton Prep, Early & Elementary Education, 3.26 (first-year eligible)

- Kaimen Lennox, Sr., Kansas City, Mo./Truman H.S., Sport Management, 3.38 (first-year eligible after transferring to WSU)

- Eli Lohr, R-Fr., China Township, Mich./St. Clair, Engineering, 3.26 (first-year eligible)

- Ray Williams Jr., Sr., Electrical Engineering, 3.20 Detroit Mich./Edison Public School Academy (third consecutive year on Academic Team)
