The Wayne State University women's track and field program has been ranked 11th nationally among all NCAA Division II All-Academic Teams by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The team achieved a school record GPA of 3.66. Additionally, nine members of the squad received All-Academic Athlete honors.

To be named an NCAA Division II All-Academic Team, a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale is required for all student-athletes on the institution's NCAA Squad List for Indoor and/or Outdoor Track and Field. This GPA must be certifiable by the institution's registrar. Transfer students and graduate students are included only with grades earned at the current nominating institution.

The calculation method involves totaling the cumulative number of semester or quarter hours earned by all student-athletes on the NCAA Squad List, including the most recent grading period, and dividing it by the cumulative number of quality points earned.

The nine Warriors who earned All-Academic Athlete status are:

- Sophomore Hanne Bastiaansen (Tessenderlo, Belgium), Global Studies

- Redshirt senior Thailyia Christensen (Flushing, Mich.), Marketing

- Junior Reagan Justice (Canton, Mich./Salem), Elementary Education

- Junior Renae Kutcha (Jackson, Mich./Lumen Christi), Marketing

- Sophomore Elyse Miller (Woodhaven, Mich./Gibraltar Carlson), Exercise & Sport Science

- Redshirt senior Katherine Ray (Novi, Mich.), Sport Management

- Redshirt freshman Keneisha Thomas (Madison Heights, Mich./Lamphere), Biological Sciences

- Sophomore Briana Vojinov (Brownstown, Mich./Woodhaven), Psychology

- Sophomore Avery Wilson (Davison, Mich.), Nutrition & Food Science

To receive All-Academic Athlete recognition, a student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the semester of competition and must have completed at least 24 semester hours or 36 quarter hours at their institution. Additionally, they must have achieved an automatic or provisional qualifying mark in either an individual or relay event for either indoor or outdoor season.
