Field Elementary School recently announced that Kara Thompson will assume the position of Student Support Coordinator starting this fall. Although new to this role at Field, Thompson's transition is expected to be smooth due to her prior experience as the school’s Student Success Specialist over the past several years.
Thompson has an extensive teaching background, having worked for Detroit Public Schools and Fairfax County Public Schools in Virginia. Her most recent teaching assignment was at P-CCS’ Hoben Elementary School, where she taught third grade for three years.
Thompson holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Education from Michigan State University and is currently completing a Post Master’s Certificate in K-12 Basic School Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
