Wayne State University (WSU) has announced its 2024 football radio and streaming crew. This marks the 23rd season that WSU football and basketball games will be aired on 1400 AM, with additional broadcasts available online at patriotdetroit.com and on 101.5 FM.

Veteran Detroit sports broadcaster Sean Baligian returns for his 16th season as the play-by-play announcer for Warrior football. Baligian will cover all six home games, along with road contests at Tiffin and Michigan Tech. He has been a prominent figure in Detroit sports media since 1998, having worked with Fox 2 from 2002 to 2018, The Detroit News, MLive.com, USA Hockey, and the Carolina Hurricanes TV broadcast.

Former Warrior defensive end Brady Beedon will serve as the color analyst for all six home games plus the season opener at Tiffin. Beedon will also handle the Locker Room Report and Senior Spotlight features for WDTK and act as the play-by-play announcer for road games at Truman State, Davenport, and Grand Valley State. Additionally, he will host "Weekly with Wheatley" on Wednesdays before home games at Woodbridge Pub.

WSU Hall of Fame tailback Josh Renel will join Baligian in the booth for the game at Michigan Tech. Renel provided color commentary for one game in 2012 and nearly every game from 2013 to 2022. His collegiate career includes nearly 5,600 all-purpose yards and an induction into Wayne State University's Athletics Hall of Fame in February of 2018.

Kevin Brechmacher returns for his ninth season calling WSU men's basketball games on WDTK this winter and will serve as a color analyst for the game at Truman State. Either Renel or Brechmacher will cover color commentary duties for games at Davenport and Grand Valley State.

WWJ Afternoon Anchor Tony Ortiz will be the sideline commentator during home broadcasts. Ortiz previously served as a sideline reporter for Comcast CN900's broadcasts of WSU football from 2016 through 2022.

Every Wayne State GLIAC football game will be streamed on FloSports (flofootball.com), including home non-conference contests against Findlay and Indianapolis. The PreP will manage these streams for both football home games this year as well as basketball, baseball, and softball games in spring of 2025.
