Wayne State University has announced the addition of three freshman female divers to its swimming and diving program for the 2024-25 season. These new recruits will join sophomore Wen Wadsworth-Curcuru as part of the Warriors' diving team.

Coach Jason Trout commented on the new additions: "With only one returner on the women's side of diving, I was looking to bring in a strong class of new divers to help carry the women's team for the next several years. I believe the talent and leadership that we get from Ella, Alicia, and Zoe will help to mold the women's diving program for years to come. Each of them showed real promise throughout their diving careers leading up to the collegiate level, and I look forward to seeing what they are able to achieve for the WSU swimming and diving program."

The three new divers include:

Ella Murawski, a graduate of Hartland High School in Brighton, Michigan, was a three-year varsity letterwinner. She received First Team All-County recognition in her last two seasons and set the Hartland pool 11 dive record. Murawski finished 21st at the 2023 MHSAA Division 1 state meet and plans to major in Biomedical Physics.

Alicia Viaches graduated from Haslett High School in East Lansing, Michigan. She posted the highest Regional score in Division 3 at the November 22 MHSAA Regional meet with a score of 367.75. Viaches is also a two-time State Finals qualifier and plans to major in Criminal Justice with Forensic Investigation Concentration/Chemistry and Spanish minor.

Zoe Wood hails from Plymouth High School in Canton, Michigan. She earned All-Kensington Lakes Activities Association honors as a senior and recorded a career-best 11 dive score of 327.05 at the 2023 KLAA Conference meet. Wood plans to major in pre-Physical Therapy.

All three divers have shown significant promise during their high school careers and bring varied academic interests to Wayne State University.
