The Wayne State University men's golf team is set to host the Motor City Shakedown at TPC Michigan in Dearborn on Monday and Tuesday. Each participating team will field six student-athletes, with only the best four scores counting towards the team's total, playing 18 holes each day.

"As we welcome teams from our region to our home course, we look to continue our strong performance this fall," said head coach Mike Horn. "We're a little banged up right now as Adam Burghardt will not be playing due to a back injury and Luc Warnock won't be in the starting lineup because of a wrist injury. With that said, that presents opportunities for others to step up. We've had a really good two weeks of practice and we're ready to defend our home course. This hopefully shows how deep we actually are in our lineup."

Teams participating in the tournament include Ashland, Davenport, Northern Michigan, Parkside, Purdue Northwest, Roosevelt, Saginaw Valley, Wayne State "A", and Wayne State "B".

The starting lineup for Wayne State's "A" Team includes Josh DiCarlo (Amherstburg, Ont./General Amherst), Tyler Hurtubise (Essex, Ont./Essex District), Max Leppelmeier (Wauseon, Ohio/Pettisville), Mat Hawryluk (Chatham, Ont./Ursuline College Chatham), Ian Smith (Canton, Mich./Plymouth), and Josh Lahner (Roselle, Ill./Lake Park).

Wayne State's "B" Team features Luc Warnock (McGregor, Ont./E.J. Lajeunesse [Northern Illinois]), Andrew Daily (Brighton, Mich.), Shawn Sehra (Windsor, Ont./Academy 21 [Xavier]), Harrison Chapman (Marshall, Mich.), Chandler Stodolak (Standish, Mich./Standish-Sterling Central), and Tommy Gebeck (Grosse Pointe Farms/Michigan/University Liggett).
