Wayne State University has announced the addition of Kyleigh Weck to its volleyball program. Head coach Tim Koth confirmed that Weck signed a National Letter of Intent and will join the team in the fall of 2024 after completing her high school career at Reed City High School in Michigan.

Weck, a 6-foot-1 opposite hitter from Hersey, Michigan, was a four-year starter and two-year captain under head coach Don Patterson at Reed City High School. In her senior year, she achieved 421 kills, 68 service aces, 410 digs, and 91 blocks. She earned recognition as a Muskegon All-Area Team honoree and was part of the Big Rapids Pioneer Dream Team in 2023. Her team shared the CSAA League Championship with a record of 25-10-3. Throughout her high school career, Weck accumulated over 1,000 kills, along with significant achievements in aces, blocks, and digs. She received three All-CSAA honors.

In addition to volleyball, Weck played club volleyball for Inside Out under coach Rick Ryske and also participated in basketball and softball at her high school. She holds a cumulative GPA of 3.62.

"Kyleigh addresses our biggest need in this class," said Coach Tim Koth. "She is an impactful right side and physical offensive player who competes at a high level. Along with that, she's a great person from a wonderful family and is a dedicated student. She's a perfect fit for Warrior volleyball and we're happy to have her."

Weck plans to major in exercise science at Wayne State University.
