Wayne State University's volleyball team secured a decisive victory against Saginaw Valley State on Halloween night. The match, held in Detroit, saw the Warriors winning in straight sets with scores of 25-13, 26-24, and 25-15.

Coach Koth expressed satisfaction with the team's performance, stating, "It was a nice performance by the Warriors on Halloween with the exception of a small segment in set two. We played consistently in all facets of the game. There were some solid offensive performances from Molly (Miller), Kayla (Giroux) and Alexa (Withun)."

The first set saw Wayne State overcoming an early deficit to establish a significant lead that they maintained throughout. The second set was closely contested with multiple ties and lead changes before Wayne State secured it. In the third set, Wayne State took an early lead and maintained control until the end.

Key players for Wayne State included Molly Miller with 11 kills, Kayla Giroux with 10 kills and six blocks, and Alexa Withun contributing eight kills. Katie Smith and Miller each recorded two aces during the match.

Kayla Dulgar led in assists with 32 while Kendyl Andrews achieved 21 digs. Andrews' performance was notable as her digs were just shy of her season-high record.

This victory improved Wayne State's record to 10-1 when hitting at least .240 as a team this season. Looking ahead, Wayne State is scheduled to face Michigan Tech on Friday night.
