Wayne State University's men's golf team is positioned fourth among 19 teams after the initial two rounds of Findlay's Doc Spragg Fall Invitational. The event, held in Findlay, Ohio, marks the second-to-last tournament for Wayne State this fall season. The Warriors achieved a score of 575 (-1), with standout performances from Andrew Daily, who tied for 10th place individually with a score of 142 (-2).

Head coach Mike Horn commented on the team's performance: "We battled all day. Between the weather and the slow methodical pace, we held it together really well for 30 holes, really struggled on the last six. Hopefully we can follow our script that we've had all season where we play okay the first day and really play well the second day. We're gonna need that if we are going to catch anybody ahead of us. We need all five guys playing like they can from the moment the first tee shot is hit. Congrats to Andrew Daily on a very strong day all the way around."

Individually, Josh DiCarlo and Max Leppelmeier both scored 144 (E), tying for 19th place, while Mat Hawryluk finished with a score of 145 (+1), tying for 26th place. Ian Smith ended his rounds with a score of 157 (+13).

In team standings, Grand Valley State leads at -17 (559), followed by host Oilers at -9 (567) in second place, Ashland in third at -2 (574), and Ferris State fifth at even par (576). Wayne State's opening round score of 281 was notable as it ranked second best; however, their subsequent round two score of 294 was tied with Ferris State as highest among top eight teams.

The final round is scheduled to commence Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.
