Wayne State swimmers advance to NCAA finals

Two athletes from Wayne State University's women's swimming team have progressed to the finals at the 2024 NCAA Championships in Geneva, Ohio. The event is taking place at SPIRE.

Graduate student Jordan Fox and junior Alli Vassilakos will compete in the 500 Free final on Friday night. Fox secured a fifth-place finish with a time of 4:52.34, while Vassilakos finished seventh with a time of 4:53.84.

In the same event, Megan Sieloff did not advance, placing 27th with a time of 4:59.07. In other events, Elly Belmore did not advance in the 100 Back, finishing 31st with a time of 58.06, and Barbara Munoz placed 20th in the 200 Fly with a time of 2:03.99 but also did not advance.

Wayne State University will also feature a team in the final event of the evening—a 200 free relay quartet comprising Sabine Branford, Jordan Fox, Barbara Munoz, and Alli Vassilakos.
