Two athletes from Wayne State University's women's outdoor track and field team participated in the long jump event at Hillsdale's Last Chance Meet on Wednesday.

Sophomore Annabelle Smith, hailing from Blissfield, Michigan, secured third place with a jump measuring 53.35 meters (17-06.75). Redshirt senior Mikayla Williams, from St. Charles, Michigan, finished in sixth place with a leap of 5.29 meters (17-04.25).

The university plans to send both its relay teams—4x100 and 4x400—along with several individual competitors to the Baldwin Wallace Harrison Dillard Twilight event scheduled for Friday.
