The Wayne State University swimming and diving teams are set to hold their annual Alumni Meet on Friday, November 1, at the Matthaei Natatorium. The event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and is sponsored by Fieger Law.
Head coach Sean Peters, now in his 28th year, expressed enthusiasm for the gathering. "I am so excited to host the annual Wayne State swimming and diving Alumni Meet this Friday at 7 p.m. at Matthaei Pool," Peters stated. He emphasized that the meet is a fun occasion for everyone involved, including swimmers, divers, fans, parents, and alumni. Peters added that he aims to bring back alumni from various generations to connect and share experiences.
Peters also mentioned setting up a Facebook page for alumni interested in participating in the meet. In previous years, attendance has ranged from 35 to 50 alumni, and he anticipates another strong turnout this year.
After the Alumni Meet, both men's and women's teams will compete again on Friday, November 8. They will face Findlay at home with the Oiler men ranked tied-for-10th nationally and the women ranked No. 17.
