The Wayne State University cross country and track & field programs, led by head coach Grant Lofdahl, organized their Fifth Annual Run-A-Thon in early August. Over 120 student-athletes, coaches, and administrators have participated in the event's history, covering more than 2,000 miles through running or biking over the first four years. In 2024 alone, participants ran and biked over 725 miles.

This year's event set new records by raising $18,173 from 346 donors. Previously, the highest amount raised was just over $14,000 during the 2023 event. With this year's contributions, the total funds raised since the inception of the Run-A-Thon exceed $68,000.

The money collected from this year's fundraiser has been allocated for purchasing brand-new Nike competition uniforms for the WSU Cross Country and Track & Field programs.

"Thank you to all who supported the 2024-2025 WSU Warrior Cross Country and Track & Field programs through Run-A-Thon!"
