The Wayne State University women's cross country team achieved a fifth-place finish among 31 teams at the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Race. The event was held at the Lewis Cross Country Course, hosted by Lewis University.
Representing WSU were seven runners: Reagan Justice from Canton, Mich., Briana Vojinov from Brownstown, Mich., Taylor Hopkins from Sanford, Mich., Aubrey Migoski from Wyandotte, Mich., Mattie Drennan from Clarkston, Mich., Robin Bresolin from LaSalle, Ont., and Emily Gordon from Northville, Mich.
Reagan Justice and Briana Vojinov both finished in the top-25 and earned USTFCCCA (United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association) All-Region Honors. Justice's third-place finish with a time of 21:22.45 marked her best performance at the NCAA Regionals and her third consecutive All-Region selection. Vojinov completed the race in 21:52.52, placing 16th and receiving All-Region honors for the second time in her career.
Taylor Hopkins was next for Wayne State, finishing 40th with a time of 22:28.67. Aubrey Migoski followed in 59th place with a time of 23:04.95. Mattie Drennan came in 73rd at 23:12.53, closely followed by Robin Bresolin in 74th at 23:13.39. Emily Gordon was the final runner for Wayne State, finishing in 123rd place with a time of 24:02.26.
