The Wayne State University softball program successfully held its 10th Annual Mixer on the Mound event, sponsored by Feiger Law, on November 2nd at the WSU Fieldhouse in Detroit. This year's event marked a significant milestone as it was hosted on the university's campus for the first time and recorded one of the highest attendances in its history.
Support from Tartar/Warrior alumni, family, and friends played a crucial role in the success of this year's Mixer. The funds raised have positioned the softball program to achieve several goals both on and off the field.
The program plans to use the funds for purchasing a new pitching machine, team Nike winter coats, graphic upgrades in the hitting tunnels, and covering travel expenses for their spring break trip to Florida in March.
"Achieving our goals within our program is a direct reflection of those who have supported our fundraising efforts this year," said head coach Nicole Tines. "The support and efforts from our Warrior/Tartar community means everything to our program, and we are extremely grateful to everyone involved who contributed in more ways than one to this year's Mixer success."
