The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team secured its fourth consecutive victory at the Don Kimble Invitational hosted by Davenport. The team finished first among seven teams, accumulating a total of 997.5 points after winning six out of the 20 events they participated in.
"It was a wonderful weekend for the Warriors," said head coach Sean Peters. "There were so many great performances with our swims and on the boards. It was a full team effort and we really gave it our all, and the results show. I have to also give credit to all the other schools participating, as they really brought it, and helped bring out the best in us. I know with a strong December and January, we can really have a great February and March, and I look forward to this journey with our Warriors!"
The team's standout performances included Gabriel Arias winning the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:45.79, Julio Osuna taking first place in both the 3-meter (580.50) and 1-meter diving (609.70), Trevor Jones claiming victory in the 400 IM at 3:55.16, Olin Charnstrom finishing first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:39.09, and Tomas Osorio securing the top spot in the 50 freestyle clocking in at 20.88.

Looking ahead, Wayne State's next competition will be against Saginaw Valley State on January 4th inside Matthaei.
