The Wayne State University women's tennis team is preparing to start its 2025 spring season following two consecutive NCAA Quarterfinals appearances. The Warriors will commence their campaign with an away match against UIndy on February 8.

Subsequently, the team will return to host Findlay on February 15, then head back on the road to face Hillsdale on February 28. A spring-break trip to Florida will follow, where they are scheduled to compete against Barry on March 9 and Nova Southeastern on March 11. These teams hold the top two rankings according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). Last season, Barry had a record of 23-5, while Nova Southeastern finished at 27-4. NSU defeated Wayne State in the NCAA Division II Quarterfinals and later won the National Championship against Barry.

Wayne State will begin GLIAC play at home versus Saginaw Valley State on March 15 before facing non-conference opponents, including Oakland's Golden Grizzlies on March 23. The Warriors' four-game home series concludes with matches against Davenport and Grand Valley State on March 28-29.

Further travels will see Wayne State visiting Michigan's Upper Peninsula for matches against Lake Superior State and Michigan Tech from April 4-5. They will then proceed to compete against Roosevelt and Purdue Northwest from April 11-12.

The regular season wraps up with home games against UIndy and Ferris State before participating in the GLIAC Tournament in Midland, Michigan, scheduled for April 25-27 at the Greater Midland Tennis Center.

Head Coach Yahsha Moore expressed her anticipation for the upcoming season: "I'm very excited to get into the swing of things for our season. We have some tough matches lined up, and I'm looking forward to seeing how our team steps up during competition. We're eager and hungry to get started, and hopefully we can build upon all the success we've had in previous years."
