The Wayne State University women's basketball team is set to embark on a road trip, facing Purdue University Northwest and the University of Wisconsin-Parkside. The Warriors will play against the PNW Pride on January 30 at 6:00 PM ET, followed by a game at UWP with a tip-off scheduled for February 1 at 2:00 PM ET.

Wayne State holds a significant lead in their all-time series against Purdue Northwest, with a record of 14-1, including seven consecutive victories. The most recent win was a commanding 98-54 triumph earlier this month. Conversely, Parkside has a slight edge over Wayne State with an all-time series record of 10-9 and has won four of their last five encounters.

Purdue Northwest's current season stands at 5-13 overall and includes two wins out of ten games against GLIAC opponents. Their offensive efforts are led by Alyssa Cole, who averages 11.7 points per game and leads the team in rebounds. First-year head coach Jesse Ford oversees the team after three seasons at Indiana Northwest.

Parkside has an 11-6 overall record and is tied for fourth place in the GLIAC standings alongside Wayne State. The Rangers have four players averaging double-digit points per game under the leadership of seventh-year head coach Jen Conely.

Wayne State's schedule ranks as one of the toughest in Division II, holding second place in the Midwest Region based on strength of schedule metrics. The Warriors also receive national attention for individual performances from Shea Tripp and Taylor Thompson.

Recently, Wayne State achieved back-to-back victories over Saginaw Valley State and Roosevelt. Notably, Gabi Lutchka delivered career-high performances in both points and rebounds during these games.
