Wayne State University's baseball program has announced its schedule for the 2025 season. Under the guidance of head coach Ryan Kelley, now in his 17th year, the Warriors will play a total of 50 regular-season games. This includes 33 matches against NCAA Midwest Region opponents and 24 within the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC). Thirteen of these games will take place at Harwell Field.
The season begins with a four-game series in South Carolina against Newberry from February 7-9. Following this, Wayne State will compete in a neutral series against Ohio Dominican on February 22-23 at Prasco Park's Legacy Field in Mason, Ohio.
A significant part of their schedule is the RussMatt Invitational in Florida, where they will play 11 games over ten days from March 6-15. Their opponents include Ashland, Point Park, Malone, Wayne State College, Minnesota State-Mankato, and Minnesota Duluth.
After playing four games at Florida Southern from March 21-23, Wayne State will start its league matches with Purdue Northwest from March 28-30. The GLIAC schedule involves six four-game series against other conference teams: three home series against Roosevelt, Davenport, and Parkside; and three away series against Purdue Northwest, Saginaw Valley State, and Grand Valley State.
Additionally, the Warriors are set to face Findlay three times: April 1 at home for their opener, followed by two away games on April 8 and April 29.
The postseason begins with the GLIAC Tournament scheduled for May 8-11 at Jackson Field in Lansing, Michigan.
