The Wayne State University men's swimming and diving team completed the second day of preliminary events at the 2025 GLIAC Championships, held at the Holland Aquatic Center in Holland, Michigan. The team will have ten athletes competing in the finals starting at 5:30 PM.
In the 100 fly event, Lorenzo Tassinari advanced to the championship finals with a time of 48.23, achieving an NCAA B Cut. Josh Mahaney, Tomas Osorio, Matt Hernandez, Ryan Kruger, Zach Pauley, Lucas Harding, Mitchell McMath, and Muhammed Eliwat did not advance.
Trevor Jones led the 400 IM event by securing first place with a time of 3:52.35, followed closely by Clayton Kinnard in second place with a time of 3:53.31; both times are NCAA B Cuts. William Debroux also advanced to the championship finals with an NCAA B Cut performance. Gabriel Arias and Alex Duhaime advanced to the consolation finals.
In the 200 free event, Olin Charnstrom secured a spot in the championship finals with a time of 1:38.01 (NCAA B Cut). Khalil Ben Ajmia, Harrison Arnold, Leland Curanovic did not advance.
In three-meter diving competition, Julio Osuna took first place with a score of 540.40. Max Wasiniak and John Martin also advanced to the championship finals.
