The Wayne State University women's swimming and diving team concluded their participation in the 2025 GLIAC Championships with a third-place finish. The event took place over four days at the Holland Aquatic Center in Michigan. The Warriors scored a total of 650 points, securing their position among five competing teams.

Barbara Munoz, a graduate student from Colombia, emerged as a standout performer by winning the 1650 free event. This victory adds to her record, making her an eight-time league champion with four individual titles. She claimed three individual victories during this championship alone, including wins in the 1000 free and 200 fly events.

Head coach Sean Peters expressed his pride in the team's performance: "This Warrior team is truly amazing! All year, they have been training hard for this moment, and we delivered in a big way! I am extremely proud and grateful of this Warrior team because they have truly committed themselves to the staples of a successful program — work hard, support your teammates, commit to academic success, get engaged with the department and community, and our senior leadership was instrumental for our success. Go Warriors!"

The final standings saw Grand Valley State take first place with 1,096.50 points. Northern Michigan followed in second with 753.50 points. Wayne State held onto third place ahead of Davenport and Saginaw Valley State.

In other notable performances for Wayne State:

- In the 1650 free event, Alli Vassilakos finished fourth and Diana Muccioli sixth.

- Sabine Branford placed seventh in the Championship Final of the 100 free.

- Elly Belmore and Emily Hedley secured seventh and eighth places respectively in the Championship Final of the 200 back.

- Emma Crispo achieved fourth place in the Championship Final of the 200 breast.

- The team's effort culminated with a second-place finish in the 400 free relay featuring Munoz, Branford, Rhodes, and Vassilakos.
