Wayne State University's women's indoor track and field team achieved a school-record 88 points at the 2025 GLIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships, securing second place behind Grand Valley State. This performance surpasses their previous best of 81 points set two years ago.

Coach Lofdahl commented on the team's achievement: "This weekend was kind of a measuring stick for the program, and I feel like we measured up very well. The GLIAC is always incredibly competitive in track and field, and to finish in the runner-up spot was an excellent result for us."

The event saw contributions from 19 athletes, with notable performances including Reagan Justice's first indoor conference title in the 5K and Avery Wilson setting a new school record in the 400-meter dash. Hanne Bastiaansen also claimed victory in the 200-meter dash, while Emily Gordon secured a runner-up finish in the 800 meters.

Final team standings placed Wayne State second with 88 points, followed by Saginaw Valley with 82 points. Other participating teams included Northern Michigan, Parkside, Davenport, Ferris State, Purdue Northwest, Lake Superior, and Roosevelt.

The team now awaits selections for the NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field national championships.
