Wayne State University's softball team split two close games in Florida, bringing their overall record to 7-8. The Warriors narrowly lost the first game 3-2 to Glenville State College but rallied for a 6-5 victory over Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in the second match.

In the first game, Wayne State took an early lead with Logan Forman hitting a home run. However, Glenville State responded with two runs in the bottom of the first inning. Makenna Negley contributed significantly for Glenville State with a two-run single and later drove in the winning run. Wayne State's junior pitcher Hayden Batton allowed three earned runs over five innings.

The second game saw Wayne State come from behind after trailing 5-1 by scoring five unanswered runs, including a walk-off single by Danielle Fick. Elly Koopman played a crucial role with four RBIs, while Morgan Williams reached base four times and scored three runs. Sydney Long started on the mound for Wayne State, allowing five runs over five innings before Grace Fisher closed out the final three innings without giving up any additional runs.

The Warriors have seen four of their last five games decided by one run and will continue their spring break trip facing Winona State and Shepherd next.
