The Wayne State University women's golf team has been positioned at 10th in the NCAA's East Region rankings, as announced on Friday. The team, known as the Green & Gold, has one remaining tournament for the regular season. They will participate in Walsh's Cav Classic from April 14 to 15 at Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio.

To determine the participants for the championship finals, four regional tournaments will be organized. Eighteen teams from the east, central, south, and west regions, along with six individual participants not on these teams, will take part in these regionals. Announcements for these selections are scheduled for Monday, April 28.

The finals will include 18 teams and 8 individuals who will play 54 holes of stroke play. After completing the 54 holes, medals will be awarded to an individual champion and top finishers 2 through 10, based on cumulative scores and tiebreakers if necessary. Following the stroke play, the best eight teams will be seeded into a bracket based on their scores for subsequent quarterfinals, which will feature medal match play.
