The Wayne State University women's golf team improved its position to sixth place in the NCAA East Regional at The Meadows Golf Course, hosted by Grand Valley State. The team achieved a score of 310 (+22) on Tuesday during the second round of the three-round tournament.

Key performances included Ting-Yu Kuo from Taipei, Taiwan, who is tied for 10th place with a score of 151 (+7). Other notable contributions came from Sabel Imesch and Sophia Wygonik, ranked 25th and 31st respectively. Claudia Portillo and Orianna Bylsma also contributed to the team's overall performance.

In the team standings, Grand Valley State leads with a score of 588 (+12), followed by Findlay and Tiffin. Wayne State holds sixth place with a total score of 625 (+49).

The tournament format dictates that the top five teams from both East and West regionals will advance to the national finals. In addition, two individuals not on those teams will qualify. Playoffs and tiebreakers will resolve any ties for championship positions or advancement.

Wayne State's women's golf team is set to commence the final round on Wednesday morning at approximately 11:40 a.m.
