Ting-Yu Kuo competes in NCAA Golf Championship Finals

Freshman Ting-Yu Kuo from Wayne State University's women's golf team scored a one-over 73 during the first round of the 2025 NCAA Championship Finals held in Boulder City, Nevada. This performance places her in a tie for 35th place with two rounds remaining. Kuo is set to tee off at 12:50 p.m. Pacific time on Wednesday.

Kuo's round included a double bogey on the fifth hole, but she managed to birdie the ninth and parred the remaining 16 holes on the course, which measures 6,164 yards.

Currently, there is a two-way tie for first place on the individual leaderboard between Zoey Iglesias from Anderson and Torrie Bowman, both having carded five-under-par rounds of 67.

In terms of team standings, the top eight teams poised to advance to the match play portion are Anderson, California State San Marcos, Flagler, Dallas Baptist, CSU East Bay, Findlay, Wingate, and Central Missouri.
