Wayne State University swimmer Evie Dice has been awarded an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. Dice completed her bachelor's degree in Exercise and Sport Science in August 2024 and was pursuing a Master's Degree in the same field during her fourth year at WSU. She consistently achieved Athletic Director's Honor Roll status with a term GPA of 3.5 or higher, including five terms with a perfect 4.0 GPA.

During her time at Wayne State, Dice was recognized as a three-year GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team member and a CSCAA Individual Scholar All-American for three years. In addition to these accolades, she is set to become a three-time D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award recipient.

In swimming competitions, Dice participated in 38 meets over four years and earned five All-GLIAC honors. She scored in 19 events at the GLIAC Championships throughout her collegiate career and was named an Honorable Mention All-American in the 200 Free Relay event in 2023.

Dice also contributed to the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) as part of the Athlete Well-Being Committee during the 2023-24 academic year and served as Co-President for the following year.

Evie Dice expressed gratitude for her experience as an NCAA student-athlete: "I loved being an NCAA Student-Athlete for the past four years and am so grateful for all the opportunities being a student-athlete at Wayne State. WSU has an environment where athletes are given the tools to expand and become involved in the department and city."

The NCAA has awarded $10,000 scholarships to 42 outstanding student-athletes across its divisions as part of its Postgraduate Scholarship program. This initiative supports students who excel academically, athletically, and demonstrate leadership within their communities. The scholarships are granted annually across fall, winter, and spring seasons to both male and female athletes.

Since its inception in 1964, the NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program has aimed to encourage graduate education by honoring top student-athletes based on their athletic performance, academic success, campus involvement, community service, and leadership qualities.
