Ting-Yu Kuo from Wayne State University's women's golf team concluded her participation in the NCAA Championship finals at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada. Over three days, Kuo achieved a score of 218 (+2), tying for 41st place among 94 competitors who completed all rounds. Her performance matched Claudia Portillo's 218 at Findlay's William Beall Fall Classic and equaled the second-lowest 54-hole score in the school's history.
During Thursday's round, Kuo recorded nine pars, five birdies, three bogeys, and one double bogey to achieve an even par round of 72. This marked her fourth even or sub-par round this season. As a freshman, she ended her first collegiate year with a scoring average of 76.64 over 28 rounds, which ranks as the fifth-lowest single-season average for the program.
Madison Murr from California State University-San Marcos earned Medalist Honors with a remarkable score of 14-under 202 (69-64-69). The teams advancing to match play include Dallas Baptist (-18), Cal State San Marcos (-15), Flagler (-13), Findlay (-12), Anderson (-10), West Texas A&M (-7), Central Missouri (-2), and Wingate (E).
