The Wayne State University Track & Field program is set to host a two-day throws clinic on June 16 and 17. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from noon to 2 p.m. each day, with a break for lunch between sessions.

The clinics are designed for young athletes entering grades 8 through 12 in the fall of 2025, aiming to enhance their skills in various throwing events. Participants are encouraged to bring their own implements if possible.

Check-in will take place at the Wayne State Athletic Throws Area from 8:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m. Each four-hour session will focus on different throwing disciplines, with shot put scheduled for the morning of June 16, discus in the afternoon, hammer throw on the morning of June 17, and javelin in the afternoon.

Nate Miller can be contacted at nate.miller@wayne.edu for registration inquiries. The cost is $65 per person per day.
