The Wayne State University Track & Field and Cross Country programs are organizing a series of clinics this July, offering three days of training for young athletes. These sessions will take place on the 8th, 9th, and 10th from 8:30 a.m. to noon each day at the Lowell Blanchard Track at Tom Adams Field.

Participants should be students entering grades 8 through 12 in the fall of 2025. The clinics aim to provide skills, drills, and strategies necessary for improvement in track and field events. Attendees will learn new training techniques while minimizing time spent on familiar concepts.

The schedule includes:

- Day 1 (July 8): Sprint Events (100m, 200m, 400m) and Distance

- Day 2 (July 9): 400m/800m and Long Jump/High Jump

- Day 3 (July 10): Hurdles

Each day begins with an introduction and sorting of campers into groups from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m., followed by a warm-up session. Drills and basic concepts are introduced from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with more focused training taking place until noon.

These clinics cater to young developing track and field athletes across all disciplines and event groups, mirroring the experience provided to Wayne State athletes. The cost is $65 per person per day.
