Wayne State University senior Carson Nicoletti has been honored with Academic All-District recognition by College Sports Communicators, previously known as CoSIDA. This acknowledgment highlights his academic and athletic achievements.

To qualify for this recognition, student-athletes from schools that sponsor only cross country must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale. Graduate students must have achieved this GPA both as undergraduates and graduates unless they are in their first semester without an established graduate GPA. Additionally, nominees need to have finished among the top 50 individuals at the 2024 NCAA regional competition.

Nicoletti participated in five meets for Wayne State's men's cross country team last fall. His performances included placing 15th at the Northwood Invitational and finishing 12th at the Warrior Challenge. He also competed in the Lewis Crossover, GLIAC Championships, and NCAA Midwest Regional, achieving commendable placements.

Academically, Nicoletti is majoring in Global Supply Chain Management and has consistently excelled, earning Warrior Elite status all eight semesters with two terms achieving a perfect 4.0 GPA. He is set to receive his third D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award this summer and has been selected three times for the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team. Last fall, he was recognized as a USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete for his dual excellence in academics and athletics.

Nicoletti's contributions extend beyond athletics; he was actively involved with the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and received the 2024 Warrior Award. This award honors a student-athlete who exemplifies perseverance, positivity, and embodies the Warrior spirit throughout their career at Wayne State University.
